A woman named Lauren is trying to get in touch with me thru adoption website. Since my internet isn’t working, I am at my boyfriends house using his internet, so I do not know my password for CSJ adoption website. I mentioned before that I am not really looking to adopt more hermit crabs, however, if the conditions in which the hermit crabs are living are not optimal, I will take them into my home, give them the proper care, house them in my 10 gallon tank, etc. then try to find someone to adopt them permanently. Lauren mentioned a cage, not sure if that means wire cage or glass tank, also mentioned extra rocks (gravel)? Does anyone know Lauren? I tried to look for her here, clicked on members, cannot find her. Lauren, if you read this, please contact me in the next hour.

I can adopt them permanently if you would like. I have a 40 gallon terrarium. They are welcome to live with my hermit crab colony.

I think these were smaller crabs, if I remember correctly?

Unfortunately, I am unable to accept any smaller crabs at this time. My tank is only set up for the big guys – large pieces of hollow cholla with to many places for the smaller kids to get lost/stuck inside. I’d be afraid to risk it.

What is the temp in your tank? Humidity? Two lights? I don’t use lights, are there places for your crabs to go to if they get too warm? I keep my apartment at a certain temp so tank is between 75-77 degrees.

I know, I read the post. I live in Madison Wisconsin and have relatives in Indianapolis. The person said they were willing to drive so they can drive them to Indy and I am visiting my relatives soon so, I have a way if they are willing to let me adopt. I have my crabitat setup for medium/small hermit crabs. it is a 40 gal and I have 5 crabs in it right now. I am willing to take them in if no one else can. I have a humidifier running 24/7 to keep it humid in the crabitat.
