I want to spiffy up the tat for the holidays, but I am kinda stuck! So far I have made a “Cone tree” out of coco fiber climbing background, glued it with hot glue, but now I don’t know if hot glue is safe????
I want to add some color to my all natural tank, but I am afraid of dyes etc.
Anyone have any great ideas?
Hello,
I wouldn’t think hot glue is safe for the crabitat, and dyes are not safe either. There may be some safe things out there you could use. I saw some holiday statues to put in crab tanks from Petsmart today, a little rudolph, santa, etc. Cute, but they were painted, not sure if the paint from those could chip off while the crabs were climbing them. Guess I wasn’t really helpful in suggesting decor! Someone will post with some ideas! How did you get a picture above your name? Beth
Instead of glue you could try aquarium sealant… it works about the same and is crabby safe.
If you dye you should use natural sources… like pomegranate for red.
strung Popcorn and cranberries on the tree looked fun and was apparently delish!
Beth, I signed in with facebook, that is my profile pic
Popcorn and cranberries sound like a great idea!
