Its that time, to purchase a new humidity gauge. It stayed at 80 degrees so I knew it was time to replace it. I like flukers, seemed to be accurate. When I would calibrate it, it would be 76 percent. I meant to write percent above, I am using a tablet so cant go back and change it without having to type all over again. Petco n pets art didn’t have flukers so I got zoomed. Calibrated at 54 percent. Ridiculous. I took it back and got pets art brand dial and an all living things gauge. Both read in 40 percent. No one seems to have flukers except for the hermit crab patch. Would anyone use these? Would you just add or subtract the difference even though it’s off more than 20 percent? I liked it better when the reading was off by 1 instead of 15-20 percent. Has anyone else had this problem?
So I quit buying the hygrometers sold for pets and started buying the ones sold for cigars. They are better made and in the long run it’s cheaper to spend more on a quality gauge than to keep buying crappy plastic ones.
