Going to try adding this to the back of my tank to help keep my temperature up this winter. I want to switch to no lights at all for part of the night if this mat heats sufficiently. It was substantially cheaper than the reptile mats but appears to be the same product.

Interesting, let us know if it works well. Does it have an adhesive?

I love crabifying products! Great idea, Stacy! I hope it works well for you.

Nope no adhesive but that’s useless anyway in my past experience.
I have it under a bin trying to flatten it out and hope to mount it this weekend.

    How did this work out?

The mat itself is great just ended up being too small which made no sense since I was adding it to my existing set up and only swapped the red for purple bulbs… it was a whole mess! Now I have this mat plus a mega mat on the back PLUS all my overhead lights. Right now the mats are running 24/7 and the lights are cycling off/on for day/night. Temp is more consistently near 80 but still not quite happy so I’m messing with new timers and ordered some THICKER insulation.
