Mr Mo, previously my largest crab (he was overtaken this year by Sir Wimsy the Purple Wonder) still has not chosen a new shell. He has decreased in size to compensate I guess. Now…. I’ve been searching for a shell for a long time. It seems that I have possibly found the kind of shell I’m looking for, but I would love to see where I can get them from. It’s a brown, smooth, finely and lightly striped tulip type shell supposedly in the (genus?) Fasciolariidae.
I have not seen hide nor hair of this shell until I did some really wacky google voodoo, so I don’t know if it’s a common type of shell people carry in shell shops. Anybody know?
Can you share a photo of it? I can help you if I can see the shell.
