Hey guys, this is my first post. I am a newbie crab owner. I couldn’t find anything on this in the site.
Anyway, here’s my problem. I am using a substrate of beach sand, coco fiber and river pebbles (spread in different areas of my 17 gallon tank). Out of the coco fibre and sand some weird plants have started growing. They look like a grass of some description. I didn’t put any seeds in my crabitat nor are there any other plants. Does anyone know what it is? Is it safe for my crabs? Should I remove it? I have four crabs. I attached a picture, sorry for the quality.

    Thanks

It was likely something in the cocofiber or do you ever feed foods that have seeds in them? Like bell peppers or something? I doubt it is anything dangerous though.

I haven’t fed them anything with seeds recently, I’m guessing it was in the coco fibre.

Did the crabs eat the sprouts or no?
