Tonight I am going to look at a used 40 gallon breeder tank I found on craigslist. I am hoping it looks as good as it did in the pictures. I already bought a really nice stand and have received my order from Isopod Connection. Getting really close to getting it all together. Wish me luck on the tank.

Good Luck! You should try tipping the tank vertically. I have a 40 Breeder and I am going to do so. A 40 gallon breeder tank needs a LOT of substrate, so flipping it vertically will cut the costs of substrate by 2/3rds. Definitely post some pictures of it when you are done setting it up!

Thanks for the idea Maxwell. I did get the tank and strip light for 60 bucks. It is very clean. The guy’s mother melted the black lip in the back a little when she was taking care of his water dragons, only about a 2 inches, but that won’t be a problem at all. Over all I am pretty happy. 40 gallon breeder tank and full strip light for 60 bucks. I think I got a very nice deal.

I will surely post pix when it is up and looking good. I still have to get the ultratherm uth and the glass lid. I hope to have it up in April. I will put the stand together tomorrow.

So excited, will keep you updated.

Well I got the tank stand together. It is really nice it will hold up to 650 pounds. It is made in the USA and not of particle wood. There is a blemish on but I have contacted the company for their help and hopefully will send me a new door. Here is a picture of it.
