    Hello all,

    I’ve been away from the forums for a few years and thought I would jump in with a reintroduction. My name is Michele and I’ve been keeping LHCs for 17 years. For those who have been around that long, my daughter and I were the ones who rescued the tank full of ‘tie-died’ es. My daughter is grown now of course, and recently took most of the crabs home with her. The house and the tank seem so empty. ;-;

    I have only 4 PPs currently. The crab that started it all- His Majesty, King Crawdaunt: purchased from a from a pet store July 1998. Best described as a massive personality tucked into a shell. Blossom: whom I’ve had for about 6 years. She came to me suffering from severe pps, she had lost all but one leg and a claw, the rest of her extremities scattered around her plastic keeper. Now one of the prettiest crabs ever and a pistol to boot. Ruby: a craigslist acquisition once about the size of a nickle. Ruby is the good girl of the bunch, she never gets into trouble. (Well, not much anyway!) And lastly, the new kid, affectionately referred to as The Mudbug. My husband text me from work recently asking if we were still looking to adopt a few more crabs. Someone he worked with had one they didn’t want. He handed me a plastic deli cup, smiled and said “Here’s the mudbug.” It stuck. πŸ˜€ Apparently he adapted pretty to being a kids pet, he is relatively fearless.

    Looking forward to getting to know everyone. ^.^

    Hi Michelle, welcome back, I myself have only been here a month but it is encouraging to see previous crabbers return and show support for the love of crabs and this website.

    Many thanks for the welcomes! ^.^ I’m usually not to far from the computer these days so if anyone ever needs anything, drop me a note.

    Photos of my crablets? Gee, I might have a ‘few’… (plus a few! X3!!) I recently created a new gallery as my old one had gone extinct. I’ve got a few uploaded so far.

    And I will offer a hearty Welcome to the crabbing community, Pam. Crabbers tend to be a pretty nice bunch of people.

    Hey Vanessa! I guess its been a while for us both, nice to be back among friends, eh? I’m hoping to be more active, currently trying to work through a posting issue. Hope to get it sorted out soon.

    Yes, I am actively seeking an xl or jumbo pp, or two to add to my crew. I cant travel much but I am willing to pay shipping btw if anyone knows of any in need of a permanent home. ^.^
