I put a piece of shrimp in the tank last night. My big girl was the first to come over and have a bite. Then, along came Patchy, who is an avid hoarder. He took the shrimp and proceeded to crawl under the cork bark tile, where Tiny was napping. Tiny woke up, and started to climb on Patchy, I thought Tiny was mad that Patchy disturbed him, but no, he wanted that piece of shrimp! So, a tug of war ensued-they both tried to pull the shrimp out of each others claws. After a little bit, they decided to stop pulling, and eat it. All legs and claws on the shrimp, except feeding claws which were bringing the food to the mouths of my kiddies. Vanessa, we need to get a cable tv show- Crab TV

I recently received my shipment of indos and violas and I had forgotten how piggy indos can be! I fed them some chicken and one of them was guarding the dish and claw punching anyone who came near! Hungry hungry hippos 😛
Last night one of them decided no one else should have any mango. They crack me up with their food hoarding.

How did you post that video? I can’t even post a pic, file size too big! That is really funny. I have posted a few pics of the kiddies on The crab street journal on my facebook page. I am friends with CSJ on there, and I am going to post a pic of my little guy Patchy, who molted a million times, and is now a little bigger than my medium crab Tiny. I will post before and after, don’t know if you remember that I was telling you about the “make up molts”. Never saw a crab grow that much (more than 3x his size) in almost 3 years. Unbelievable! That is what the right conditions, food, and water will do! And, of course, this WEBSITE to turn to for advice and info!
