Hello again! I have a problem with my suction cups hat could end in a disaster. I recently bought suction cups from Michaels and inserted them into the tank. I believe they are 100% silicon but I am not sure. When I checked the tank it smelt odd (venlation is aviable) I can’t discribe it, but I don’t want to say it smelt like chemicals. So j don’t know if their safe and were to get some safe ones!(!,

    Maura,
If you don’t feel they are safe then I would remove them. I use mostly 3m command hooks and this type of suction cup.

    Hope this helps.

I have never noticed a smell of any kind from suctions hooks. I’d err on the side of caution and take them out.
