To my knowledge, this is the ONLY children’s book written about the life cycle and reproductive process of land hermit crabs. It is incredibly well written. The only inaccuracy I found was at the end of the book where it states the female won’t molt and the male will carry her around underneath him. That behavior does occur in true crabs but not in the Coenobita species. Otherwise this book is amazing! The illustrations are beautiful as well.
